Barbara began her real estate career in 1996. In 2000 she founded Advocates Realty. Within five years she grew the company to 47+ agents. In 2009 Barbara merged Advocates Realty with a national franchise.
In 2003 Barbara was recruited by Brookhaven College to teach pre-licensing courses. In 2006, Brookhaven named Barbara Instructor of The Year. During her tenure at Brookhaven College, her local board recommended her to the Texas
Association of REALTORS® to audition to become a GRI Instructor. In addition to GRI, she now teaches a variety of certification and designation classes including but not limited to ABR, AHWD, Professional Standards, PMN electives, RSPS and SRES.
In 2006 she founded AllStar Academy of Real Estate, a proprietary Real Estate School affiliated with NAR to provide REBAC certification and designation classes.
For the last six years, Barbara has served on the Texas Association of REALTORS® Professional Standards Committee. In this capacity she serves on Ethics and
Arbitration Grievance Tribunals and Hearings Panels. She began as Code of Ethics Instructor in 2004. In 2008 she completed the Texas Association of REALTORS® Advanced Mediation Training.
Barbara is active in her State and Location Association of REALTORS® and has served on the Government Affairs, Professional Development, Professional Standards, Member Benefits, TREPAC and Community Outreach Committees.
Currently she serves on the NAR Professional Development Committee and TAR Professional Standards, International, and Government Affairs Committees. She is a 2010 graduate of the Texas REALTOR® Leadership Program.
Active in WCR Dallas Chapter, she has served as the VP of Membership and chaired the Education and Professional Standards Committees. In 2003 Barbara was recognized by D Magazine as one of the top real estate agents in Dallas based on productivity. |
