Quick Start for the new agent

Do you worry that some new agents—because of what they don’t know—may actually be hurting your brokerage more than helping it?
Are you concerned about the return on investment you receive (or don’t receive) for training new agents?

The new and improved Quick Start program can help.
Besides teaching skills that are critical to success in real estate, Quick Start also comes with added benefits for your agents and your firm. Quick
Start is now approved for 30 core credit hours or 9 MCE hours by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). Any TREC-approved core instructor can teach Quick Start. And, Quick Start can be taught right there in your office!

Quick Start training consists of four modules:

1. Success 101
2. Business 101
3. Best Practices 101
4. Technology 101

Quick Start comes with a comprehensive student workbook. It includes samples of contracts and forms, checklists, marketing materials, computer screen shots of the ZipForm contracts-management software, and more.

Quick Start philosophy
We believe Texas REALTORS® can have a positive impact on the world if they “do it right the first time,” a slogan from Phillip Crosby’s Quality College. Quick Start is our quality college for the new agent and is designed to help him or her get a jump start into the real estate business by teaching core processes right from the start. Laws, rules, and technology may change, but the basic skills of real estate remain the same.

Quick Start uses
Quick Start is an excellent precursor to Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) training and the GRI professional designation. Quick Start can be used in conjunction with other training programs, such as the GRI, or by itself. Although Quick Start is designed for the new agent, it can also be used as an effective refresher course for veteran agents or for agents returning to the real estate business after a hiatus. Because Quick Start can now be taught at the broker level, it represents the ultimate in relevance and flexibility.
