Completion of the Senior Housing Specialist course and exam, along with the satisfactory completion of the SRES designation exam, satisfies the educational requirements to receive the SRES designation.
Who are the Seniors Real Estate Specialists ®?
A Senior Real Estate Specialist is a REALTOR ® qualified to meet the special needs and concerns of maturing Americans. A national program since 1998, The Senior Advantage Real Estate Council ® (SAREC ®) offers a specific designation, SRES®, to identify those members who have successfully completed its education program along with other prerequisites. By earning the SRES designation, the REALTOR® has demonstrated that they have the requisite knowledge, experience and expertise to counsel senior clients through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. REALTORS® with the SRES ® designation have received special training, regular updates, and are prepared to offer the options and information needed in making life changing decisions.
